Submission guidelines, editorial policies, and manuscript preparation standards

Purpose

This page provides authors with everything they need to prepare and submit manuscripts to the Journal of Quantum Ecology & Civilization.

It outlines our editorial philosophy, submission requirements, peer-review process, and formatting standards.

The Journal welcomes interdisciplinary research that unifies biology, ecology, neuroscience, agrifood systems, materials science, and civilizational theory.

Submission Guidelines

    • Research articles: 6,000–10,000 words

    • Review essays: 5,000–12,000 words

    • Technical notes: 2,000–4,000 words

    • Commentary: 1,000–2,500 words

    • Submit as .docx or .pdf.

    • Double‑spaced text.

    • Clear section headings.

    • Figures and tables embedded.

    • Authors must ensure all figures, datasets, and models are original or properly licensed.

    • Abstract: 150–250 words summarizing the contribution, methods, and significance.

    • Keywords: 5–8 keywords reflecting the interdisciplinary scope.

  • References must follow Chicago Manual of Style using the Notes & Bibliography system consistently throughout the manuscript (footnote/endnote citations with a corresponding bibliography).

Peer‑Review Process

  • Manuscripts are evaluated for relevance, clarity, and alignment with the Journal’s interdisciplinary mission.

  • Two or more reviewers assess:

    • conceptual rigor

    • methodological soundness

    • interdisciplinary integration

    • originality

    • clarity of contribution

  • Authors may be asked to revise and resubmit based on reviewer feedback.

  • The Editor‑in‑Chief makes the final determination.
